Malta Handball Assocation

2008 will be earmarked as the year of the women's national handball team's official debut in the international handball arena. Maltese handball was represented for the first time in the 5th Edition of the European Handball Federation Women's Challenge Trophy which was held in Larnaca, Cyprus between the 26th – 30th March.

We are pleased to announce that the president of The Malta Handball Association was recently honoured with the nomination into the prestigious 'Hall of Fame' for 2007 from the Maltese Olympic Committee.

The nomination was given in the 6th edition of The MOC Sports Awards 2007 which was held on 14th December 2007 at the Excelsior Grand Hotel in Floriana. This tribute is given to individuals who have greatly contributed to Maltese sport and should not be forgotten. Rightly so, our president was nominated for his effort in promoting sport in the local scene.

The first part of the season saw La Salle dominate in almost all categories, being winners of the APS Bank Cup in both Men & Women Category.
